Pet care experience
I have been living with, walking, and caring for dogs consistently for the past 19 years, including puppies, aging and ill dogs, and big dogs (a great dane and a rottweiler). I have been responsible for taking care of friends’ and family friends’ dogs, and love meeting new pets. I’m happy to take care of your pet while you’re away and keep them comfortable in their own home, so it’s as stress-free and enjoyable an experience as possible for them and for you.

I have always had dogs at home, so am very comfortable looking after them and familiar with various safety and environmental measures. Having cared for all sizes of dog, and both young and aging dogs with various health concerns, I am comfortable to administer oral medicine, stick to any specialized diet, or provide for any other special needs your pets might have. I am happy to care for your dogs overnight however you prefer, whether that involves crating or a nighttime routine, medicine, walk, etc.

A typical day
I try my best to get a walk with the dogs every day, anywhere between 10 minutes and an hour+ (depending on the dogs’ needs, weather, time available, etc.), and love to spend as much time as I can playing and relaxing with pups, whether at home or out at a park. I also really enjoy incorporating a bit of training, so I’d love to know any skills or tricks (or bad habits) you’re working on with your dogs.

Availability
Since recently leaving a full-time teaching job abroad and returning to Canada, I have been working part-time as a literacy tutor, so I have most of my days free to walk and play with pups! I’m consistently available for walks between 10-3 every weekday, after 2pm on Saturdays, and between 10am-7pm on Sundays, but may also be able to walk your dog at another time/ day, so feel free to check!
