Hi, My name is McKenzie and I am a third year medical student with two 18 month old dogs of my own. I was raised on a farm in Knoxville, Tennessee and pursued a degree in Animal Science at the University of Tennessee so that one day I will be able to help my family out on the farm and know the science behind it all. My boys, Eli and Diego, are adopted from St. Kitts and island in the West Indies and would love to meet your pup. They are very well socialized and love to make new friends. I enjoy regular walks with my boys and would love to walk your pup also if that is what you need. My fiancé and I just moved to Detroit so we would love to get to know it better through walks in different neighborhoods.

McKenzie is just the best! There are not enough good things I can say about her! My precious Cookie is a 15-year old German Shepherd who needs a LOT of extra help and attention, and she was in great hands with McKenzie! The best part was that I was not worried about my dog the entire time I was gone. Having that peace of mind was priceless and allowed me to enjoy my time away. McKenzie is just so caring and sweet!! She is a true dog lover. But also, she was not squeamish when it came to the gross tasks that are necessary when caring for a 15-year old dog. I felt totally confident that she could handle it and she did handle it! She really went above and beyond! I would definitely have her house-sit and dog-sit again in a heartbeat!
McKenzie was amazing! I don’t think Ryder wanted to leave. He had so much fun with the other dogs and can’t wait to come back ;)
We are so glad we had McKenzie watch our fur babies while we were away! She went above and beyond—took in our mail and watered our pet plants! :) I received pictures after every drop in with descriptive updates, reassuring me that everything was well. McKenzie is extremely friendly, responsible, and has a heart for animals. What more could you ask for?! I will definitely be booking McKenzie the next time we go away.
When I received the email asking me to write a testimonial for Mckenzie I was utterly excited. I have always thought she should find a way to reach to people who need a responsible person to care for their pet. She has always had a passion for animals (so much so the she majored in animal science in college!), but what sets her apart is that animals seem to have a passion for her of sorts. Its as if they knew from the moment they meet that she is there for them. I honestly love having Mckenzie care for my pets because I know that not only will I will have a genuinely kind human caring for my pet but my dogs will also be at ease (even excited) to stay with her. I hope she gets to share this with other pet owners in the future.
