I have a lot of animal experience, I’ve had dogs as pets my whole life. I was in FFA in high school, so I raised and showed livestock, my favorite was pigs. While In high school and a little during college I worked on a horse ranch. I was a wrangler, my job was basically anything and everything to the horse care, I also did trail rides and riding lessons. I left the horse ranch when I got a job a veterinarian clinic as a kennel technician. I am going to school to be a veterinarian so I loved this job. My job as a kennel technician was all care of the animals in my kennel and we also did boarding and grooming which I did. I was there for almost 2 years so they started training me to be a veterinarian assistant. Unfortunately due to a terrible management I left the vet clinic to work at a rescue. With this rescue we had 3 trailer homes filled with dogs and a cat room, these were very nice trailer homes and we worked 12 hours a day 6 days a week to make sure the rescues had what they needed and were always clean. Shortly after that I got a job offer to be a kennel lead at a small business that does boarding, grooming, and worked with rescues. When I heard that it sounded like the best job ever, so I took it. And I loved it! My favorite part was the rescues I would train them so they would get adopted faster. There were a couple reasons I left this job, however I was going to have to leave anyway due to my husband being in the military and us moving to New York for his job.
