Pet care experience
My dog Indiana is highly anxious and fear aggressive, and she requires a lot of extra care. Taking care of her has given me a really great perspective on other animals, whether they’re friendly or not. I feel that I am especially skilled in making dogs who “don’t like people” feel at ease by not rushing the relationship and catering to their comfort level. Additionally, I have experience volunteering with Wild Blue Cats that gives me a great perspective on cat care, as well!

McKenna stayed at my house to watch my husky and she did a great job! I hope to rebook with her again in the future! She sent me daily texts and photos, and took great care of my dog and house.

I’m experienced with day to day care and the way it varies from family to family. I always do my best to replicate the routine your dog is used to. I understand just how much trust it takes to allow me to take care of your dog and even let me into your home, and I don’t take that for granted.

I appreciate knowing a dog’s favorite activities, foods, and any potential triggers (loud noises, other dogs, etc.). Information on their level of energy and other preferences are definitely appreciated as well!
A typical day
I always try to make sure that dogs in my care are being met where they’re at, whether that be lots of cuddles for your low energy senior or plenty of mental and physical stimulation for high energy pups. For example, playing fetch outside, touring the neighborhood, and stimulating feeding tools if you have them are all personal favorites!

Availability
I’m a student and my classes are generally 9am-noon every weekday. Outside of those times, though, I try to stay as flexible as possible and am usually available! I am more than happy to work around your schedule.
