Pet care experience
Hello! I’m Mckenna and I’m 23 years old. I grew up taking care of and owning pets. Therefore I know just how important caring for them and knowing you can trust those taking care of your pets is. I’ve watched many of my neighbors and friends dogs so I have much experience with different breeds and personalities. I have also taken a course in animal care & grooming and got hands on training with my dog & dogs at a local pound. I love cats too! My family has 2 cats now. Mine -Tillie- is very laid back she LOVES to be pet and cuddled but he sister -BeeBee-is a different story. So I totally understand their temperaments and when they want their space!

Keeping pets comfortable is most important to me so I follow their normally routine, or route when walking with them. Also I make sure they’re not bored, waiting to use the restroom, hungry/ thirsty. When walking I carry water, baggies, treats if you’re comfortable with the kind. I hate with a passion seeing dogs get overheated so I would prefer to walk them in morning or evening but I will still always carry water.

It’s important to know their name because they know it’s there’s and respond ☺️ Their temperament because I want to match them, not being to energetic to a calm dog for example and it helps me to see how they are on walks. Any sort of allergies, medications or any precautions I should take to making sure their not uncomfortable or over exerted. Also what they enjoy doing, and how you normally walk and where. If petsitting how you normally take care of them.
A typical day
I love to letting dogs release their wiggles so if they need to run I’ll keep up with them! I know walks aren’t enough to keep them entertained so I love make sure they get to play one in one and treats are always needed!
