Pet care experience
I’ve been around dogs and cats since I was born (my mom had two cats and two dogs for my entire childhood). Through taking care of them and being a dog sitter for my moms friends when they left town, I developed pet sitting skills from a very young age. Since then, I went to school at Santa Clara where I started Rover and took care of a many puppies, dogs, and cats, giving me even more experience around animals. Since graduating and moving to SF, I’ve adopted my own cat, Levi. I took a little break from Rover but im ready and excited to get back into spending some more time with new doggies and kitties :)

McKenna's passion and love for animals is seen in her daily life. She is incredibly responsible and knows the amount of time and effort that goes in to taking care of animals because she has both cats and dogs at her family home in Colorado. McKenna is also very active so she would make sure that the dog gets all the walks and outdoor play-time needed. Overall McKenna would make an amazing dog caregiver because she exudes love for all animals, is an experienced animal caretaker, and will prioritize the needs of the dog to make sure they are met.
Kenna is one of the biggest pet lovers I have ever seen! She cares about all of her pets very deeply and she would do the same for any dog or cat she is sitting. Kenna is very organized and reliable so you can trust that your pet will be in good hands. I would let my pet stay with Kenna any day of the week. :)

I’m my clients home, I always make sure the pets feel comfortable and trust me. Sometimes this may take some time, but I think it’s really important for them to feel safe and comfortable around the stranger coming into their house to watch them. I am very patient with animals and know that these things can take time. I also watch animals with a very watchful eye to ensure they are safe (and not doing anything naughty!).

How they are around people along with other dogs. If they are anxious or aggressive, it is good to know to take the precautions needed for walks. How much exercise they need is also important!
A typical day
If I’m watching dogs, I love to take them on all my daily adventures (time at the park, going on long walks, going to outdoor cafes/restaurants). Having had some anxious dogs in my life, I understand that they might not all enjoy those experiences, and I’m happy to stay at home with them and play as well! I’m very adaptable to what the dog and their family needs. As far as cats go, I’m happy to play with them, snuggle with them (if I’m lucky), and just sit with them so they have some companionship.
