A new friend for your furry friend!

Pet care experience

I'm McKenna- pet owner since birth, pet sitter since 2007! My goal is to provide your furry friend with all the love, attention, and routine they receive from the number one person in their life- you! I handle mostly dogs and cats, but I'm comfortable with rodents, birds, fish, and small reptiles as well, so any extra friends in your household are welcome. I've been caring for my own pets since I could toddle, and I've spent 13 years providing house sitting services for dogs and cats of a wide variety of breeds. From aged Dachshunds and stately senior Siamese to rambunctious Rottweilers and frisky kittens, I've never met a dog I didn't love and a cat I didn't adore! I am happy to provide housesitting and drop-in services for small animals- rodents, rabbits, ferrets, reptiles, amphibians, and arachnids- as well as dogs and cats. WHAT TO EXPECT FOR MEET AND GREETS - Please schedule Meet and Greets 3-7 days in advance of your reservation date. - Meet and Greets are a fantastic way to make sure your pet and I are compatible, so you can rest assured your furry friend is getting the best sitter for their needs! - This is the perfect time to discuss things like your furbaby's routine- when is it time for a W-A-L-K? When is breakfast (and second breakfast, and elevensies...)? What treats and toys do they like best? Do they have special grooming needs, or medications? This is also a great chance for you to ask any questions you have for me. - If you have small animals that require unusual or species-specific care such as birds and reptiles, this is when we'd need to go over their care. I want to make sure your special friend has the best experience possible! WHAT TO EXPECT FOR HOUSE SITTING - During sittings, I'll be at your home with your furry friend full-time and only leave for a few hours at a time - I'm available to spend nights with your friend - I can do house-sitting services for miscellaneous small animals such as rodents, rabbits, reptiles, amphibians, birds, invertebrates, and fish as well as for cats and dogs - I'm flexible with start and end times as long as we discuss and agree upon them before your reservation - Housekeeping chores (doing dishes, making the bed, light sweeping/vaccuuming, etc) will be taken care of before your return, so you can come back to a tidy home AND a happy furbaby! This can include setting out trash bins, taking them in, and collecting mail upon request. - Photo updates! You're going to miss your fluffball while you're gone, so I'll send you plenty of photos of them! - Green friends are as important as furry friends- let me know about your houseplants and rest assured they'll be tended in your absence too! WHAT TO EXPECT DURING A W-A-L-K - I'll take your best boy or goodest girl on a 30-minute walk or excursion to a nearby park for some one-on-one exercise and fun - Walk time can include playtime upon request- tug-o-war is a specialty! - Meals, treats, water, or medication can be given. During inclement weather, muddy paws and wet coats can be cleaned up - Reports with care summaries and/or photos can be sent if requested - If you have a leash-trained cat, I can absolutely provide walks for them WHAT TO EXPECT FOR DROP-INS - I can do drop-in services for miscellaneous small animals such as rodents, rabbits, reptiles, amphibians, birds, invertebrates, and fish as well as for cats and dogs. - Drop-ins are 30 minutes per animal, but can last longer if there are additional pets in the household so everyone gets the care and attention they need. - Meals, treats, water, potty breaks, walks and medication given - Photo update of your furry friends! - During inclement weather, muddy paws and wet coats can be cleaned up - Reports with care summaries and/or photos can be sent if requested SPECIAL NOTES - First-time clients must schedule a meet-and-greet 3-7 days in advance of the reservation date. - Repeat clients who have used my services within the last 6 months need not schedule a meet-and-greet. If you're a repeat client who've used my services more than 6 months since the last session, please schedule a re-greet session so your furry friend can reacquaint themselves with me and we can go over any changes in their schedule and needs. - Please book at least two weeks in advance if possible. For high-volume times such as holiday weekends, please book as soon as you can to ensure availability. - Dogs and cats must have current vaccinations, and if medication is to be given during the course of your reservation, please ensure you have enough to completely cover the entire reservation period. - Dogs and leash-trained cats must have current ID tags - While I'm happy to offer care for unusual small pets, please note that I cannot offer care for venomous reptiles.

McKenna was terrific. She stated at our house for a week with my 55 lb boxer/beagle, Cooper. She was left with instructions on everything from taking out the garbage, bringing in the mail, and of course my dogs care. She followed instructions to the letter. In addition she sent us pictures twice a day, cuddled with Cooper, filled out a log sheet of his walks and feedings and at the end she left a note about the stay thanking us. The house was clean as we left it. I was able to enjoy a nice holiday knowing Cooper was in good hands. She’s mature, responsible and takes her job seriously.

Mckenna took great care of both my pups and my turtle. I felt like they were in good hands and I'm already planning my next booking with her.

This was our first experience with house sitting and sadly our last. We were gone for 1.5 weeks, while sitter was house sitting, and came back to empty kitchen, dirt on carpets, and broken photo frame. Was also not too attentive to our pup. When we got back and found massive tangle of burrs on his face. Really thought this would have gone better but after this experience, definitely never hiring house sitter again.
