I was born and raised in Central Wisconsin in a small town. I grew up around dogs in my immediate and extended family and always wanted a little dog when I was young. I was told I could have a small dog if I took full responsibility. I gained my parents trust and I got my first dog on my 12th birthday! Fast forward 12 years.. when my husband and I moved in together it wasn't long before we knew we were ready for a dog. He grew up with dogs just like I did. Our first dog, Dixie, is a German Short-haired pointer. She is very high energy and loves to be active. Afterwork, we dedicate our time to her. We often play outside, go for runs, go to the dog park, go for four-wheeler rides, or play ball with her (her favorite). We have spent our time training her to bird hunt. She will stop in her tracks when we say "woah", will drop in your hand, and retrieve on command. In summer of 2019 she won prize 1 in the Natural Ability Test hosted through NAVDA. While we spent time training her to hunt, we also taught her manners and tricks. I am so happy with all the time we spent with her because she is now a great all around family dog and bird hunter. Since Dixie was fully trained, we decided to pull the trigger and get her a friend. Last month, we got a new puppy, Piper! We are excited to train her and hope she learns a thing or two from her intelligent sister. I absolutely love dogs and would have many more if I could. But for nowhere, I would love to get my extra doggie fix by spoiling your pooch!
