Your pet's best friend!
Pet care experience
I've dog-sat for friends and family for over 15 years, adopted my own two dogs 8 years ago but sadly they live back in my family home (overseas) so I only see them when I travel back home a few times a year, and am therefore desperately lonely for pet company here in NY! I've got experience with all breed types and sizes, from teacup yorkies, to pitbulls, to larger-than-average golden retrievers, to mutts of all sizes. I don't currently have any pets in my home but I regularly sit for my friends: a 3-legged senior (10 years old) labrador-mix and a 1-year old cat. My family and I raised and trained our own puppies when we first got them almost 8 years ago (a golden retriever and a pitbull-mix aged 3 months and 6 months respectively) back home before I moved to New York, so I have experience with all ages, and know how to handle pooches both in their early training and senior years.

I can not begin to say enough good things about Mayar. She cares for my puppy Theo with so much love it blew me away. She has the utmost attention to detail to his puppy needs and is meticulous in her care giving. Walks, feeding, potty breaks, cuddle and play time, she is just amazing, She is so attentive to Theo and pays such close attention to keeping him a healthy and happy boy. I work long hours and I feel so comforted knowing my boy is in such loving, caring hands while I am away. Theo is absolutely in love and gets INCREDIBLY happy when he goes to Mayar. He has the best time and comes home such a happy and tuckered out boy from a day of fun and love. Mayar has become such a blessing to our lives, can not recommend her enough!
Mayar and Deanna were amazing with Rosie. Rosie boarded with Mayar for 3 days and really seemed to love spending the time with them. Mayar was great with keeping me updated on everything Rosie was doing and sending me great pictures. I would definitely board Rosie with them again!
I could not have asked for a better dog sitter. Mayar watched my chocolate lab Colt for a few days. He’s very energetic and mischievous every now and then but Mayar played with him nonstop and took him for very long walks (sometimes over 2 miles), sending detailed updates and photos throughout the day. Colt was exhausted when I’d pick him up at the end of each day and very eager to be dropped off the next morning, spinning himself in excitement when he’d see we were pulling up to her building. Highly recommend and will book again in the future. Thank you!!
Mayar and Deanna were the best! I used them for a long day of day care for my high energy 1yr old chocolate lab. They were super friendly and thorough during our meet and greet the day prior, making sure they had all the information they needed to take good care of our pup. Day care went smoothly and Mayar was communicative and sent detailed updates throughout. We will definitely be using them again!

I have no pets in my current apartment so, unless I'm pet sitting for someone else at the same time (in which case I would definitely prefer to arrange a prior meet and greet), your dog will have my (and my wife's) full attention. My apartment is a larger than average 2 bedroom, it's in a pet friendly building (dozens of other dogs here!), and I live within less than a minute's walk from the beach and boardwalk and with lots of parks in the vicinity.

Information Mayar A. would like to know about your pet
What is their feeding and toilet schedule? What foods are they absolutely not allowed to eat? Do they have any special needs? Do they have any health conditions I need to be aware of? Is there any specific unique behaviour that I should be aware of, that only you as their owner would know means something like they're in pain/hungry/need the toilet? Is there anything (whether a live creature or an object) they actively dislike or could be a trigger and that should be avoided? Do they like making new dog friends/playing with other dogs? Do they like cuddles?
A typical day
Everything will, of course, depend on your pet's individual needs and our days will be tailored as such. An example of a typical day though could be: we'll start our day with breakfast then a nice long walk exploring the local area, meeting dog friends, and possibly playing some fetch on the beach (if your dog is into that and only upon specific instructions from you that they can be off-leash). Twice or 3 times a week those morning walks will be runs (I.e. slow jogs, I'm pretty early on in my running regime). We'll then come home and relax/cuddle/lay together while I do some work on my computer. By that time my wife is usually home so it's play time all over again (she is very high energy!) both indoors and outdoors. We'll usually all eat dinner together (depending on your dog's feeding schedule of course), go on one last night time walk, then cuddle up on the sofa to watch a movie before bedtime. We LOVE dogs sleeping on our king-size bed with us but, of course, we leave it up to them. On weekends we might head to a dog park or arrange some play dates with our other dog friends, or perhaps take a drive somewhere upstate and go for a nice (safe and easy) hike.

I'm currently working from home with a very flexible schedule so I can be at home with your dog all day long during the week. I live with my wife who works full-time, so it'll just be me and your fur baby during the day, then she'll join us for evenings and weekends. Should we have evening or weekend plans or need to leave the pets alone for a short while, we will always ensure it's for no longer than the amount of time you advise us to. Usually, when I pet sit, I miss the animals too much to be out of the house too long and have been (quite commonly) known to cancel social plans to stay home with the dog instead 😀.
