From the ages of 8-14, my family trained three Guiding Eyes for the Blind dogs. I learned I love dogs then, and working with them is what I've always wanted. Training those dogs taught me patience and positive attitude, knowing that whatever attitude I portrayed, the dog would mimic. In addition, I volunteered at the Washington Animal Rescue League in Washington D.C for 3 years. During my time there, I learned how to interact with all different breeds. I also helped socially adapt more nervous dogs to be more calm, and to be ready for adoption. I'm interested in caring for others' dogs to share that positive attitude and meet new dog friends! Since I have lots of experience working with all breeds and sizes of dogs, I'm flexible in whatever is thrown at me. I currently have a yellow lab named Gerard, whom I adore. We go on long walks on the canal, play outside, and occasionally goto the dog park. I'm a flexible, hard-working individual that loves to share my love of dogs with others. If hired, I will work hard to make you and your dog comfortable with the services I bring.
