Pet care experience
I am currently a Pre-vet student at CMU, with 10 years of animal experience ranging from guinea pigs to dogs and cats to horses! I have cared for senior dogs as well as puppies, and have trained my own dogs from nervous, disobedient rescues to sweet, well-trained partners. I am working part-time, so I have a relatively flexible schedule except for afternoons between 3-7 on workdays, when I am working my set work shifts. I am experienced with nervous dogs, reactive dogs, and have plenty of patience to work with them as they need it! I am more than happy to give my time and effort to your dog for their safety and your own peace of mind.

Maya watched our pets through the snowpocalypse ‘24 and was diligent about getting our dog out for a walk or to play and the pictures she sent us were great! We highly recommend Maya!!!!

I am well experienced with reactive and pulling dogs, but please give me a heads-up for any triggers your dog might go after or be spooked by! That’ll help me keep an eye out and know what to avoid. Also, I may have a few treats in my pocket so please let me know if your dog has any food allergies! I appreciate it!
A typical day
I especially love taking dogs through the parks to see the sights and smells. We can stop by the river for the view or for a splash, if your dog would enjoy that! If you’re comfortable with it, we might even take a trip out to Deerfield park! Let me know if that is something your dog would like and if that is cool with you.
