Hi, my name is Maya Powell and I live in Ann Arbor. I have been blessed with having dogs in my life, as well as having experience with dogs who have anxiety, fear, and a lot of stubbornness. I learn from each and every dog I meet to ensure they get proper care and love. I have worked with my own dogs in training and they have learned training techniques for general obedience, basic puppy training, and fear anxiety. I have had experience with shadowing a veterinarian hospital, walking dogs, training and walking puppies, taking care of older dogs, grooming, and administering medication.

I currently have three mutts who I have rescued from two different shelters. I love them so much and I absolutely love to play, go on walks, train, and snuggle with them. They have experience spending time at dog parks, and play at a local doggy daycare located in Ann Arbor, as well as staying with a women who boards my dogs (who has 18 dogs of her own) when my family and I are away on vacation. My dogs are always ready to engage with all types of dogs, big, medium, and small, and enjoy engaging with other dogs with all types of energy levels.

I want to know everything necessary about your pet or pets so I can provide the best support and care possible. I would be interested in knowing if your pet has any medical needs or any specific routines he/she follows, along with any behavior needs, or special attention. I accept and adore all dog breeds and I do not have any size preferences.
A typical day
I take pleasure in walking in neighborhoods, in parks, in wooded areas, and by rivers, lakes, or ponds. When spending time with my dogs, I enjoy playing fetch, running around in the yard or at the park, lay in the grass together, going to dog parks, and during walks I take time to practice healing and sitting. Ultimately I am all for giving lots of good scratches, warm care and many hugs and kisses.

Availability
I am available for dog drop-in visits every week at various times. Currently, I am only taking existing clients, but that will likely change once my schedule becomes clearer. In general, I will need at least 3 days notice for bookings as well.
