Six years at an animal shelter!!
Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Maya and I am an animal lover! I have volunteered at a local animal shelter throughout high school and was hired February 2019 as an there due to my dedication to caring for the animals searching for their fur-ever homes. During my time at the shelter I have administered medication, walked dogs twice my size, and have cleaned up far too many bad smelling liquids for one person alone. I am comfortable doing whatever may be necessary to ensure your pet is well taken care of and happy. You can be worry free if your pet is with me!

Maya loves dogs and cats. Over the past three years, she's been volunteering first then working at Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) at the kennel and she is one of the hardest working staff there. She can handle tiny chihuahuas to big 120 lb golden retriever and all dogs in between. As ARF is an adoption center where most of the dogs come from surrounding shelters, Maya also handles dogs with different temperaments and needs. At home she has two former strays - both over 60 lbs. She is a dedicated and punctual worker, who always goes above and beyond for the beloved canines.

I would be more than happy to adapt to your environment to take your dog on walks! I am also willing to find parks and other areas to ensure your pup gets enough time out. I am a huge proponent for socialization and look forward to playing with your dog! Fetch, chasing, you name it!
