Pet care experience
Third year medical student with two cats and too many plants. I’ve loved all animals for as long as I can remember and have 15+ years of experience (personal and professional) working with horses, cats, dogs, hamsters, snakes…. I have been working with horses since childhood, including grooming for an international show jumping stable and on the A show circuit, so feel very comfortable/capable taking care of and walking large dogs. During college, grad school, and medical school I have frequently pets for numerous cats and dogs, including being a regular walker for a 70+ lb German Shepard and a high energy terrier puppy, as well as taking care of older cats with medical needs who needed to be given medication. I live in North Chicago but have a car and can travel within reason. Although I will have to plan around classes, I have a very flexible schedule that can easily be arranged for dog walking and pet sitting

Maya was amazing! We have a puppy who has some separation anxiety and she was fabulous with her. She was on time, communicative and so great with our sweet pup. We are looking forward to seeing her again soon!

Maya is my favorite cat sitter! She takes the time to coax our shy, feral, senior cat into getting some love and treats. I highly recommend and she's been our cat sitter multiple times.

A typical day
I love to hike and run and would happily take a dog along!! I just moved into Chicago from the suburbs and love walking dogs to get to know the city. If there are any areas or trails you or your dog love, I would be thrilled to take your pet to them! (Or even explore them on my own!)

Availability
I am a medical student in clinical rotations, so my schedule will vary for each one. My current rotation consisted of 3 weekly shifts, leaving me with significant time and schedule flexibility to watch your pets.
