When I was a kid, I used to wake up to watch “Animal Miracles” on Animal Planet, the show about how animals, especially dogs, have gone above and beyond to either save lives or help out. Dogs do so much for humans, and I am so committed to continue to find ways that we can be the miracle for them that they are for us! In fact, I recently left my full-time job in grant writing so I could spend more time with dogs. I’m passionate about it and I truly and deeply believe that doing as much for dogs as I can is my calling! But I do use my 6 years in a communications-focused role to dog parents’ advantage! I’m communicative and friendly, and I enjoy sending updates with pictures and videos. It helps assure you that your dog is happy and it provides excellent customer service! (Is there anything worse than sitting in a work conference in Duluth and yearning to know your best friend is having a better time? And is there anything better than being in a conference and getting a cute photo of your happy doggie?!) My home is dog friendly as I live in a pet friendly building. What's best about my area is that I am just minutes from one the best and cleanest dog parks. I also live right next to the East River, which has a magnificent walkway that’s perfect for those vital runs and walks. I have one friendly dog of my own. Lukey is a beagle/jack russel mix. I have also volunteered at the Kingstown Animal Shelter where I worked with special needs animals, including those who have been emotionally abused, are aggressive, and even sick puppies. This has taught me to care for a wide variety of dogs and learn more about dog behaviors. A lot of my clients tell me that whenever their dogs see me, they feel like they're going on a mini vacation! My home is their home and I make sure that they're always well fed and go out when they need to.
