Pet care experience
I’m a vet tech and have 3 years experience working with dogs, cats, and exotics. Currently, I’m going back to school and Rover is my main source of income so I take it very seriously. I still work as a vet tech but only once a week during this semester. Because of my veterinary background, I have experience with newborns to seniors, medicating animals, shy animals, and behavior animals. I’ve had a cat, dog, rabbit, guinea pig, turtle, and ferret in my home at some point and currently have four cats who I love so much. I’ve dog-walked for neighbors in middle school and high school and my favorite thing about taking care of pets is treating them with as much attention as I give my own :) Working as a vet tech really gives me an expertise in handling any and all dog & cat related health & behavior issues. I can do nail trims, ear cleanings, basic grooming, physical therapy, and cleaning for additional fees.

My goal is to give you peace of mind and good communication while I’m with your fur babies. Their safely and comfort is number one. I give all pets the attention and love that I think my own cats deserve :) I like sending updates with a photo because that’s something I really appreciate when I’m away from my cats. I prioritize a respect of people’s homes and making sure I clean up after myself. I will not take pets outside unless specifically asked to. I always check that doors are locked, lights are off, etc when I leave. However you usually care for your pets is how I will do it while you’re away; I want them to feel like their daily life hasn’t been disrupted.

Let me know what motivates your animals - food, attention, etc, and what makes them feel rewarded! I enjoy customizing my visits, whether that’s about energy levels, activity preference, or if you have a lap dog that just wants snuggles on the couch. I’d like to know your vet info, what they’re trained on, and if there’s anything specific you avoid with them.
A typical day
I like to make sure the animals I meet get what each individual one needs! If it’s a senior animal with limited activity levels, I’ll bring a puzzle game and give them some mental stimulation. If they’re active, we’ll play with toys and get that energy out! I will always pick up poop & scoop the litter boxes, give food & water.

Availability
As of March 2024: On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I’m only available in the morning (before 8am) or evening (after 5pm). The rest of the week I’m quite flexible timing-wise to check in on your pets :)
