I’ve grown up with dogs all my life. I rescued my current dog a few years ago and it’s been a life changing experience. We’ve worked through a lot of training, reactivity, bully advocacy, medical issues etc. It’s been the most rewarding experience and I’d like to be able to help others where I can. Dogs are family and deserve the world! Please note, Rover takes a 20% cut from each sitter. My prices are based on my experience, taking this percentage into consideration. I would say I’m around the mid-point for sitters in this area - as of now I will not be charging more as I think pet care should be accesible to everyone, while still providing for myself financially. *My Drop In Visits include a walk! *no cats please! I’m sure they’re great but I’m allergic.

We love Maya! Really appreciate the communication and her attention to our babies, which brings a lot of peace of mind when we’re away.
Maya was great! We needed a dog walk on a weekend day while we were out. Maya was responsive and had lots of treats to win the dogs over during the meet/greet. She sent lots of updates during the walk and both our pups seemed very happy once we got home!
Maya was fantastic! She was able to accommodate a last-minute dog walking request on a Saturday night, was very communicative, and provided lots of details about my dog in his walk card. I would definitely recommend her as a dog walker!!!
I enthusiastically recommend Maya! She communicates well and is extremely reliable and flexible. But most importantly though she very obviously cares about my reactive dog. She sends me detailed updates on how he did when facing triggers. And she’s genuinely enthusiastic as they develop a relationship and she is able to support him in having appropriate reactions to threats such as squirrels or toddlers. (Eye roll.) my only hesitation in writing this review is that she will get too popular and I won’t be able to book with her anymore!

Safety is extremely important to me. I myself have a large bully breed and understand the responsibility of keeping all dogs safe. Leashes remain on, doors/gates are closed and locked, and crates are used if the owner chooses. I have used Rover for my dog Cash as well and I know how nervous I got when choosing the right walker/sitter for him! Rest assured I will make sure we're a good fit above all.

Any allergies/medical conditions? How are they with other dogs? Any quirks? Favorite things? Tell me anything you think I should know! Over communication is better than under for me. For reactive dogs especially: I want to know everything! What are your dog's triggers? How intense? What do you do when it happens? What's your training method? (I will change my method to match the owner for consistency). If it's aggression, does your dog redirect onto you? Etc. Tell me as much as you can.
A typical day
Lots of mental stimulation! I have asthma so honestly I’m not the one to go running with your pup. Instead we can work on leash manners, sniffy decompression walks, training, games or just cuddles if they prefer. I'm also a photographer and do some social media - so if you like I will send you ALL the photos - just ask!
