Pet care experience
Hey everyone, I'm a current veterinary student at Kansas State! I have plenty of experience caring for a variety of species and absolutely love it! (Hence the vet school thing!) About me: - second year veterinary student at Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine - Guinea pig mom to two pigs, Archie and Edison, ages 2 - Two pups at home, Pumpkin and FeeBee, ages 12 and 3. - Always felt a special connection to animals and I love making them happy. What I can do: - Play, play, play - Knowledge on dog heimlich manuver and CPR - Experience with special needs dogs and cats (diabetes, hip dysplasia etc.) - Can administer prescribed medications as needed I can't wait to meet your pups and kitties!!

Maya is very organized and dependable. She takes her responsibilities seriously and while caring for pets showers them with caring and kindness. She spends time with a pet suffering from separation anxiety calming her with a reassuring voice to make her feel safe. She prefers to walk one dog at a time because she realizes the importance of having control of the dog in unfamiliar surroundings and this way you know she devotes all her attention solely to your pet. She can also administer medication if needed as she continues her education to become a veterinarian.
Maya is great! Veterinary school has allowed me to learn so much about her attention to detail, commitment to care, and of course her compassionate personality in all she does. Maya has tons of hands-on experience with companion animals and would do an amazing job looking after your furry friend! As someone who thinks of their own pet as family, I absolutely understand the importance of finding a pet-sitter who will take above and beyond care of your loved one. She holds a high standard and would meet everything you're looking for and then some! :)
Maya is one of the most caring and dependable people I have had the pleasure of knowing. As a classmate and as a friend she has consistently surprised me with her forethought, compassion, and responsibility. If I were to ever find myself in need of someone to watch my house or my pet Maya would be my first choice.

I comfortable with all breeds of dogs. Before sitting, I would like to know if your pet has any special needs, how he/she gets on without you, if they are territorial or food aggressive, and what their comfort blanket is (crate, favorite toy, certain smells, colors, or music). I want to make your pet as comfortable as possible.
A typical day
I will gladly take your pets to the closest dog park or on a nice neighborhood walk. Just cause you're on vacation, doesn't mean that they can't have some fun too! In addition to whatever toys and treats you have at home, I have some fun toys and treats too! With your permission, I'll bring them on my visits so we can have some fun!
