Pet care experience
My name is Maya and I have been in the pet care business for 5 years and counting, I am currently working as a veterinary technician at a vet hospital/urgent care. I have great experience with dietary needs, first aid, medications, and temperament with dogs and cats. I have two dogs of my own and they are very friendly and high energy. I have worked with dog walking and boarding services in the past and have lots of experience with older and younger dogs. Maya was wonderful! She stayed at my place and watched my pitty mix Charlie for the weekend. Charlie is typically very shy with new people but she warmed up to Maya right away. Maya was great and sent tons of pictures of all the adventures she and Charlie went on, including treating her to a puppacino! She even had a walk log she updated throughout the stay which was great. Overall, I can’t recommend Maya highly enough - she did a great job and I would definitely have her watch my pup again!
I highly recommend Maya for your pet care needs. She is responsible, smart, and a natural when it comes to animal handling. She is very caring and a lover of all dogs no matter the size, breed, or temperament. She also has experience as a veterinary assistant and technician, which is such a perk/ comfort for pet parents to trust that if their pup is not feeling well that she is better able to identify it and alert them.
Maya watched my senior beagle Snoopy on several occasions. Maya being a vet tech put my mind at ease with watching my senior boy as he takes several medications a couple of times a day. Maya was very patient with him, administered all of his medication on schedule and took the time to give Snoopy the extra love, care and attention he needed. I would definitely use Maya’s services again.
Hello to those who choose Maya, you will feel well involved and updated on your pet while away. She was wonderful with my cat CookieDough. Maya made me feel so secure while she watched my Cookie through great communication and her positive uplifting personality. She was very open minded and welcoming to Cookie's routine and habits. I had no worry as well due to Maya being a Vet Tech, which was great to know in case of an emergency. Maya is quick on her feet and very generous with her care and love toward my Cookie. I couldn't have asked for a better person to watch my cat.

I would like to know ahead of time if your dog is leash or dog reactive. Has any special accommodations or is experiencing any injuries/illnesses. I would also like to know if your dog is up to date on vaccines and flea/tick and heart worm preventatives.
A typical day
I love to do different activities according to different dogs that I watch. For more high energy dogs, this means longer walks, puzzle toys, and training. For low energy dogs we may relax more and go on shorter but more frequent walks. I love to walk dogs but the river I live at and downtown Philly area.

Availability
I work a four day work week, I am usually off on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I work from 10:00am - 7pm, Monday through Thursday so I am available mornings and evening during the beginning of the week.
