Pet care experience
I've grown up in a very animal lover family. I practically had different pets my whole life. We've owned a Yorkie, Shih Tzu, Jack Russell, Boxer, Pitbull, and a Cockapoo (who unfortunately did pass away recently.) After our last family dog, we started to foster dogs in 2019. We loved getting rescue dogs prepared for their forever home! My family and I believed taking care of dogs was some sort of calling for us. It not only helped to fill the void of our recent dog but also something good to do for her as she was also a rescue dog we adopted. My mom is also a Rover member, now when I go home to visit her I am greeted with different cuties and personalities each time. I am now starting on my own which is why my mom recommended I give Rover a shot! I cannot wait to get started on this journey.

Maya is definitely an animal lover and from what I've seen, the feeling is mutual. My dog Portia is not comfortable around strangers but she took to Maya right away. I've seen this with another dog in my family that we all have to tip toe around but he went straight to Maya and started licking her. I believe animals can sense when they are with someone safe who cares for them and Maya certainly has this gift. She is patient, kind and dependable and I would highly recommend her to anyone whose furry friend needs some extra loving ❤️
Maya has a deep-rooted love for animals. Taking care of them comes naturally to her. It’s more of a hobby for her than a job. I’ll never forget how devastated her and everyone else was when Fiona passed away, but I’m glad to see her continue to pursue caregiving for animals. It is her calling.
