There has never been a time where there weren't dogs in my life. From "puppy crib time" when I was baby, to helping train puppies and taking care of elderly dogs, to walking dogs professionally, working with dogs has played a significant role in my life. And I wouldn't have it any other way. I treat the dogs I work with as family. When I am with them I give them my full attention and the best possible care. I am an empath, and can sense when a dog is distressed, which helps me to know when I need to help them in some way. I have worked with dogs of all ages and various breeds, and I love them all. Every dog deserves someone who loves and respects them, but also someone who knows how to be in charge and in control. Whenever I am with a dog, I always try to be this person for them.

Many people own dogs, but few are truly capable of loving and communicating with them as successfully as Maya. Having watched her interact with her own dogs for four years now, I can say her gentle, yet strong way of working with animals helps her build a relationship of trust with them. Maya is great with our large lovable pup, Lainey! She knows exactly how to walk with her while she's outside and ensures that she's well taken care of. She's always timely and follows up to let me know how her walks go. Highly recommend Maya!
Maya has had dogs her whole life and as such knows how to take care of them like the back of her hand. She is nothing but loving and kind to them, but also knows how to discipline them as well.

When caring for pets in my clients home my priority is to make sure they are comfortable. If they have a lot of energy I will play with them, and if they are tired I will let them rest. When owners are gone animals can get anxious so I make sure I am attending to their needs.

For walks I would like to know the dog's breed and age. For overnight stays I would like to know their vet information, if they take any medication, what food they eat, what their favorite treats are, and if they have an special commands/toys.
A typical day
I will take the dog on fun, safe walks around their neighborhood. I would ideally take them to a nearby park where they can have a little more room to sniff and explore besides just a sidewalk, while always keeping them on the leash. If visiting them at home I will play their favorite games and make sure they are comfortable on their favorite dog bed/rug etc. Additionally, I will give them their favorite chew toys or puzzles to keep their minds active.

Availability
I have a full time job, so am only available for morning walks Sunday - Thursday (Fridays and Saturdays I have more flexibility). I need to be in Santa Monica by 10:30am, so depending on where you are located and how long of a walk you need will determine my start time.
