Pet care experience
I've had dogs all of my life, but don't consider that personal experience.. I started caring for others animals when I started college to earn some extra money. I realized this didn't fill the hole in my heart, and I needed to have one as well. I got my aussie, Amber, when she was 7 weeks old, and is now 4. She is 100% off leash trained, and very well behaved. Amber was hit by a car last Dec, and has made a full recovery. 2 major surgeries, and 10 months of healing. I am very comfortable with giving oral medication, and providing special attention to any injured pups. You can consider my home a home away from home. Even though Amber was injured, we are still very active now that she has made a full recovery. We spend loads of time hiking, swimming, playing, walking, longboarding, you name it.

Max is great! We lived down the hall from each other in our apartment building and met because of our dogs. He quickly because someone I trusted to check on my puppy when I was in class all day or out of town for the weekend. Fay (the puppy) loves going to Max’s house and is always worn smooth out when I go to pick her up.

I live in a 1400sq ft home, one level, with a moderate yard. There is plenty of grass to run in nearby, along with a woods next to my house that we frequently walk. We longboard, run, swim, hike, we do it all. I am a 10 min drive from 2 dog parks. I am the only one who will be caring for your dog, but, I go to work and come home to spend time with my dog. On the weekends, I spend time with my dog. My dog is my life, and your dog will be treated with the same love and compassion my dog receives. We have lots of treats/toys/beds/cooling mats, etc in our house to accommodate any dogs likes/wants. There is a 'dog room' in my house, that has dog beds and a full size mattress/boxspring set that is on the ground for any dogs use. Amber, my aussie, is very friendly. She loves dogs of all sizes, unless they are very "face lickey". If your dog loves to give other dogs kisses, this will not be a good fit. She loves to "box" and to chase/be chased. She loves to play tug of war and share her toys. Food aggressive dogs are NOT allowed in my house. If your dog is food aggressive, you will be called and asked to come pick up your dog and a refund will NOT be given. This is your warning.

Is your dog FULLY potty trained (8hrs with no accidents)? Any types of aggression? Prey drive(Chase squirrels and rabbits)? Off-leash? Any allergies or food sensitivities?
A typical day
We live tucked in the back of a beautiful neighborhood. There is a large wooded area that we have made paths through and enjoy roaming around in. There is also a large amount of open space right now, due to land being cleared for housing. We are just a short 8 minute drive from Ben Burton park, which we go to quite often. I have also trained Amber to pull/run with me on my longboard. I've trained MANY dogs to do this, and it's extremely fun and a great way to release energy.

Availability
I work full time at UGA, but live 10 minutes from work and have an hour lunch break. I am also able to work from home some days, and may work half days. But, I have an hour lunch in which I come home and let my pup out and play with her. I am a dedicated dog dad.
