Helping pets live their best lives!
Pet care experience
I've worked with domestic animals since I could talk, and have even more experience beyond that with my history of volunteer work dog and cat shelters. I've worked with and trained dogs that are considered difficult breeds, with experience ranging from 2 years minimum, and even have basic canine first aid experience through my shelter volunteer history. As far as I'm concerned, the health and safety of pets is of the highest priority, followed closely by their happiness!
Reviews
Max was amazing with our fur babies!! He was friendly and playful with them at the meet and greet. He sent us pictures each day when we were away. I would definitely recommend him and we will be using him again!!!
Max was an amazing sitter for my high-energy puppy! He took her on fun walks, hikes, and trips to the dog park each day. He provided regular updates and maintained great communication. I have a really hard time leaving my fur baby, but I never had a doubt that she was in great hands. I couldn’t recommend Max enough!
Maxwell arrived on time and very enthusiastic about walking and getting to know my dog. He is dog savvy and has good upbeat energy and attention to dog behaviors. He really seems to enjoy this work.
Max was great, very nice and responsible. We will be scheduling more sittings with him soon
About Maxwell M.
Communication
Skills
Safety, trust & environment
I prefer to start slow and earn the pets trust (or, depending on their temperament, their tolerance). My animal handling and training philosophy is entirely based on positive reinforcement and interaction. The best way in my eyes to keep our pets happy and healthy is with a healthy amount of interactive stimulation. Anything from playing fetch, going on long walks/jogs, to just plain belly rubs and verbal reminders of how great they are is my modus operandi. When it comes to the care and safety of other people's pets, I don't take any risks. Specifically when comes to canines, my personal motto is "All dogs are good dogs, some just don't know it yet."
Information Maxwell M. would like to know about your pet
I always like to know about any allergies or notable health issues, any special dietary restrictions, and behavioral quirks or issues. Health and safety are number one when it comes to family and pets.
A typical day
Depending on the age and energy level/social ability of the dog in question, anything and everything is on the table with me! Either walks around their neighborhood or one of several safe trails, visits to the dog park (fenced ones only though, I don't risk escape attempts) playing fetch, keep away or light wrestling in a contained yard, on top of bonus training sessions at the owners request or consent. I love dogs and nothing makes me.hallier than seeing our best buddies happy!

Availability
I work part time currently as part of a training program for the fire department/public health and safety services, so my schedule fairly open when it comes to pet care.
