Pet care experience
I grow up alongside a fluffy white dog with a mean streak who lived to be 16, as well as caring for two hamsters and a leopard gecko for three years before adopting my current dog in 2016, adopting two domestic rats, fostering a rescue pitbull, and recently adopting a shelter cat. I have experience with training since I was a kid; animals were a huge part of my life and something that has always made me happy.

Max has a lot of experiance with large and small dogs. He is engaging with them, understands different personalities, and how to walk them well. He has had dogs since he was born, and adapts to different training styles of owners.

When going to pet sit, I recognize it is about the pets comfort as well as the owners feeling safe with someone in their home with their animal. I do not like to play loud music or go through cabinets- I am there to spend time with the animal and make sure it is well fed, given attention if it wants, and perhaps cleaned as well with a bath or a tooth-brushing.

Important to know whether they are reactive towards other certain dogs or people while on a walk, so I am aware of the actions I need to take to protect your animal from being uncomfortable.
A typical day
I would love to take a long walk exploring the neighborhood, and letting the dog sniff every tree! We can take some time to rest afterwards with lots of pets and then tug of war or catch if they’d like.

Availability
I have a college class three times a week, and I need to take time to be at home and finish schoolwork. However, my classes end early each day and I have taken time in the past to care for a variety of pets during the evening as well as weekends. I can house-sit most days even if I have a class, as well as picking up animals from daycare or giving them a walk/meal/playtime.
