PLEASE NOTE: I AM STRICTLY INTERESTED IN CAT-SITTING OPPORTUNITIES AND HOME CARE FOR CATS I have had pets for my entire life – both cats and dogs – but cats hold a very special place in my heart. When I moved to Brooklyn in 2009, one of the first things I did was rescue an abandoned kitten off the street. Feral cats are often shyer and more temperamental than domesticated cats; as such, they require special handling, attention, and sensitivity. I am experienced with administering medication, grooming and clipping nails, using all sorts of toys, and dealing with emergency situations. I would be honored to meet and take care of your cat companion(s)! I live in Fort Greene with my wife and American Shorthair (Gordo) and have a very stable schedule, with availabilities early mornings, evenings, and weekends. For people with both cats and dogs, note that I love dogs as well and have absolutely no bias against them.

Earlier when I used to go on trips, I always felt terrible leaving my dear Hudson behind. Not anymore! Max is a warm, reliable, guardian to my cat Hudson. It’s very important for cats to be in their own space as they are territorial, which is why I felt uncomfortable putting him in a boarding situation. I know Max treats Hudson with much love, care and compassion. He also sends me picture updates because he knows I miss him! Highly recommend Max.
In my opinion and experience there is no better pet-sitter than Max. He is one of the most responsible, reliable, and kind humans I've ever had the pleasure to know. Max's calm presence and gentle demeanor make him particularly great with cats. He also possesses a well-researched understanding of cat behavior and has 8 years of experience as guardian to his own cat, Gordo, who he rescued from the streets of Williamsburg. If you are looking for a conscientious pet-sitter with an abiding love of animals, Max is just the person for the job.
Max was an amazing cat sitter. He took care of my precious Lily while I was out of town and was super attentive. He sent pics to update me and was really great in coordinating preparation of the drop off and pick up. I'd use him again anytime!
Max is an extremely considerate, caring, and reliable cat-sitter. He is attentive and accommodating to the needs of your particular feline, making sure he or she is comfortable, well-fed, and has adequate play/chill time. He will gladly text you cute photos of your cat and update you on how he or she is doing throughout the day. His own experience as a cat owner is reflected in the quality of his care.
