Pet care experience
I grew up rurally on a farm with all sorts of animals, but I always had a particular love for dogs! I have had 2 rescue shepherds and am always the go to for friends and family when folks need help with their pups. I charge more for walks than other sitters because every walk is a 45-60 min forest or beach adventure!

I've never met an animal who didn't love Max. She is gentle, attuned to the needs and boundaries of animals, and is very responsible. Not only has Max watched my own dogs, but I know she has frequently cared for the pets of her roommates, neighbors, friends, and family—we all know that our animals will be in good hands with her. Also, as a person Max is very communicative, organized, and personable, and I have no doubt she will be an excellent pet sitter for anyone on this site. There is no one I would trust more with the care and safety of my pup than Max.
I’ve known Max for years and it’s been a huge relief having someone of her quality in my world. She is reliable, professional, kind and absolutely incredible with pets. I’ve had her watch my pets (two cats and one dog) multiple times so that I can go out of town for work. They love her and my animals are more on the timid side, I also have her babysit my 10-year-old daughter because she is trustworthy, considerate and extremely competent. Max grew up with a lot of animals and is naturally very gifted with them. I would highly recommend her for pet, sitting, pet care, and honestly anything regarding your animals!
Ie known Max for 10 years and she truly has a gift with animals, and a deep connection with dogs. Something about her seems to calm even the wiliest and most anxious of pup. Her own dog, Mata, has learned so much trust and overcome so many behavioral challenges of early trama in the three years since Max got him as a rescue, and I attribute this largely to her dedication and care. Lucky is the dog who gets to foster with Max and Mata.

I have a big fenced yard for the dogs to play, although I keep them enclosed on a big enclosed deck if I leave the house. On the weekends I spend 90% of my time with the pups so they are always close to my side!

My dog has excellent recall and enjoys the company of there dogs. I've never seen him have an issue with another dog. He's selective about who he wants to play with, but every once and a while enjoys being chased or a light wrestle.
A typical day
I take my dog out every single day for a 45-60 min high energy adventure, this includes the dunes or redwoods and lots of off leash romping. No problem if your dog is on leash only, just let me know.

Availability
I work Mon- Thursday as a therapist and keep 3 day weekends so I can get out in nature and enjoy time with my own dog. Id be happy to bring yours along for the adventures! I'm available for boarding fri- Mon if you want around the clock supervision, but I'm home in the evenings and walk the my dog every day so can do weekday boarding if your dog can be left home for a few hrs alone during the day.
