Pet care experience
I’ve never met a dog I couldn’t match the energy of. I’ve trained my own dog and those of neighbors and family members since I was a kid and have never met a dog I didn’t like. Luckily for me, they usually seem to like me back! I’m available mostly in early mornings and evenings but try to be as flexible as possible about when I’m needed. I grew up with a poodle, so I know quite a bit about grooming now. Especially now that I’m a pet stylist apprentice! Even if your dog can’t move much, I’m willing to lay on your floor for as long as you want just so your pup has company! I’m the kind of person who holds my friends up as we walk down the street because I have to pet every dog. Also a big lover of cats:)

Max was great. Very caring.
Max is the kind of person who gets so excited when he sees a dog that he'll stop talking mid-sentence to point it out. He's the kind of person who can seemingly make any dog comfortable, even dogs that actively seem to avoid other humans, just happily wander up to him. He's a gentle spirit with an odd gift for animal handling. I have a cat, who hates people, but as soon as he saw Max for the first time, he walked up, smelled his hand, and then started purring. My cat doesn't even do that to me, and I've had him for 6 years. Max is someone I would happily leave any pet in the care of.

I generally let the pet tell me what they need. I gather as much information as I can from the pet parent, so that I can have the best base possible while approaching the pet, but ultimately they let me know what they like or don’t like me doing and I do my best to respect their boundaries (obviously if they need medication, I’ll overstep that boundary as it’s necessary)

If they have any special needs or preferences and if there’s anything specific the owner would like me to do. Also if the pet had a typical schedule for when things are done, so I can do my best to keep that for them.
A typical day
I usually let the dog tell me where to go for walks, for as long as the owner wants us to be out. As for fun activities, if your dog has a favorite game please let me know! If not, we’ll try a bunch of things to see what is most fun.

Pet care is always happening in my home with 3 lovey cats! I’m also learning to be a pet stylist, which also brings pet care into my usual routine.
