Pet care experience
My miniature schnauzer Oscar joined my family when I was 8 years old! He was my whole world, and it was the greatest joy to grow up with him. He sadly passed away at the age of 17 this Christmas Eve just gone, I miss him every day! It would be an absolute joy to look after other dogs and give them the love I wish I could still give Oscar. I have known max for 6 years, he is an extremely responsible young man who has helped me care for my dog Ozzie on multiple occasions. He has so much love for dogs and will treat any little furry friends incredibly well! He also has his own personal experience from looking after his miniature schnauzer Oscar until he recently passed away at 17 years old.
Max is a respectful and kind young man. He loves any and all pets as if they were his own, and will always be their biggest advocate when looking after them. Max is trustworthy and is a terrific communicator. I would be happy with him looking after my dogs anytime!

I have a fenced garden and live in a residential area. My housemates are also on rover and we have had dogs here many times of all sizes. We have never had an issue and the dogs seem to settle in really nicely! We keep the place clean and ensure anything dangerous is kept high up and way out of reach!

I don’t have a pet at this current moment in time. Tell me whatever you think you’d like me to know, any dietary requirements or quirks, any medications (I am excellent at hiding pills in small blocks of cheese), anything they like to do or don’t like, I’m very flexible and happy to accomodate anything.
A typical day
I love to get the vibe from the dog as to what they want to do. Having lived with a senior dog for some years he mostly enjoyed cuddling on the sofa and napping, however having also looked after younger dogs, if they seem high energy I’ll gladly walk them, play with them etc.

I am currently completing my last year of medical school and so am very busy during the week, I have my finals soon, after which I will have a lot more free time on the weekends. I have Wednesday afternoons free also, which would be perfect for quick stop ins.
