Hi, as a former touring Pro in Mexico's tennis circuit. Now I'm a tennis coach and Peak Performance speaker & coach. I lived with one of my best friends whose family lived in the city where the tennis academy I attended was located, they owned 5 dogs. I couldn't own a dog in my parent's apartment, so I was in dog heaven in my friend's place, they were also animal lovers, so I adopted the same mentality. Of course, while I was at the house with the dogs I had to learn to care, walk, play and bond with all of them, especially with 2 females that required special attention due to injuries. I learned that there are no pets, they are one more member of the family and should be loved and treated like that.
