Pet care experience
Recently - I've pet sat , all with 2 dogs or 2 cats, for 3 days up to 1 week at a time! Really enjoyed the experience getting to know the pets and be able to play with them. I love animals. I've become good friends with all my friends' pets, dogs & cats alike. I have experience housesitting and taking care of dogs, cats & chickens. In 2nd grade, I also took care of the class Hermit Crab for Christmas Break! I have worked in Hospitality @ 2 different businesses - and worked in the room cleaning & turnover aspect. I often cleaned these rooms while the guests were out on excursions, and always made sure to make things tidy and also not disturb the arrangement of the guests' belongings. I can also provide a reference list of people you can contact, about my trustworthiness.

It was an absolute pleasure to have Maurie taking care of our cats and our house! She is very organized, prompt, proactive, thoughtful, and kind. Maurie has exceptional animal observation skills and quickly figured out how to make our two cats comfortable. She set up their toys and cat furniture to create a new and interesting environment for them. Maurie’s communication with us was outstanding – multiple pictures and communications every day! And from the pictures, it was pretty clear that the cats were enjoying being with her and enjoying life in general, which gave us great peace of mind. Maurie left the house clean and tidy and even cleaned our refrigerator shelves – wow! We whole-heartedly recommend Maurie!

I make sure to feed the pets based on what their owner has prescribed and follow the routine! I also try to provide the dogs as much exercise as I can - if this is suggested -- so they get exercise and get to run around outside. For cats, I always clean the litterbox 2x a day - and try to spend time indoors with them while I do my personal work studying, taking zoomcalls, and working on my portfolio projects. If you have cats that are part time outdoor cats and also indoor cats -- I will only let the cats out, while I am at the house 100% of the time and supervising them, as I want to ensure that your pets are safe.

A typical day
For Dogs: I love taking the dogs on walks, runs, games of fetch & tag at the park. I also like bringing dogs to dog friendly cafes so they can say hello to people and get stimulation - while I also people watch and do some computer work. With Cats - I like sitting with them and chillaxing and also pretending the feather toy is a bird - moving it along as a bird might move. If I leave the house - I will put on Cat TV Youtube so they have something to watch.

Availability
I currently work part-time, so I have plenty of time to play and give attention to your dogs or cats! I can also stay onsite at your house during your time away, and ensure that their litterboxes or spaces are cleaned and that their needs are met! I have prior experience petsitting for a week & weekends, through the TrustedHouseSitter platform. I opted to try Rover this time, since the subscription cost me less than the TrustedHouseSitter membership fee.
