For the past three summers, I've been taking care of a beautiful dog named Ginger who has horrible anxiety. She's taught me how to take care of other animals who need extra attention, as well as how to read dogs when something isn't quite right. Over the course of a month, Ginger and I slowly figured each other out; by the end of the summer we even managed to go on a short road trip without any anxiety! I've also learned how to be patient when it comes to earning a dog's trust. Sometimes it can be overwhelming for animals to meet new people, and I've learned (from dogs, cats, and horses) that sometimes the best course of action is to let them come to you. I pride myself on being a source of comfort for animals, and I will always work my hardest to ensure a dog's happiness.
