As I traveled the world, dog walking and dog sitting came naturally as a temporary job. I’m well versed in various sizes, energy levels, breeds, and behaviors. I am happy to train your dog while I spend time with them. I work full time as a marine biologist but love to walk dogs on the weekends and days that I can work from home.

Maura took the best care of our pup! Not only was she reliable and communicative, she gave our dog so much love and attention! Maura took our pup on long walks and made sure she got plenty of play time while we were away. I'm so lucky to know our dog was in great hands and would definitely call on Maura again.
Maura was our favorite dog sitter, she was always so excited to be there for us every time we needed someone. She took our pup in as her own and he was always so excited to stay with Maura. I used Maura countless times and never had an issue. She is reliable, communicative, honest, responsible, and an overall kind and genuine person.
Maura has taken care of our beloved dog Osha and house sat for us countless times over the years. She is simply the best. Whenever we come home Osha is blissfully exhausted and the house is immaculate. We are tentative to tell the world about her because we don't want to share! But it's the least we can do after all the help she has given our family. 100/100 absolutely recommend.

It is preferred to know the breed or breed mix, size, age, energy levels. If the dog has a favorite park, walk route, and game. It helps to know which commands you use for your pets so I can be consistent with each dog individually.
A typical day
Depending on the dog, their energy level, age, breed, and area they live in: I love throwing a ball, chasing or running around, and playing tug of war, if the owner is ok with that type of play. I get a lot of joy and pride in teaching dogs how to heel, sit, lay down, and a variety of other tricks. I do not teach dogs to shake hands, I believe it teaches them that pawing at things is ok, which it is not. I can take your dog to Makawoa forest, a dog park, or just run them around the neighborhood. I tend to stay away from the beach as it creates a lot of mess when returning to the house, unless the owner is ok with that.

Availability
I currently work full time as a marine biologist, but have weekends and work from home days available. I can also be done with work before 4pm In case you’re running late getting home and just need someone to go walk the pup real quick.
