Pet care experience
I grew up with a parent who was allergic to dogs, so I spend a lot of my time making up for that sad childhood. I volunteer to walk and play with dogs at the Animal Friends of Westmoreland, where I have had experience with a little Jack Russell to a big German Shepherd/Husky mix. I love to make sure my friends pups don’t have to spend time alone, watching them while they’re at work or away on the weekends. I specialize in long walks, ball-throwing, and neck-scratching. I am a part-time college commuter available within the GBG, NHT, or White Oak areas (or anything not too far!). My available hours are limited as I finish student teaching. Friday: 3pm - whenever Saturday/Sunday: all day *Increased availability in April/May*

Matti is an amazing person with a huge heart! She’s a caring person with a natural instinct about her that makes animals just love her! She puts a lot of hard work and dedication into her volunteering at the animal shelter and loves every minute of it. Because of Matti, I was able to find and adopt a very special dog! Not only did Matti help bring this dog into my life, she has also continued to visit him and has offered to walk him and dog sit for him any time I need assistance. She’s very reliable. My dog, Dubae, absolutely loves Matti and jumps up when she comes over! She does very well with him and he is a larger breed. She is wonderful! Your animals will love her, just like mine does!!
As a fellow volunteer at the local animal shelter, I can attest to Matti's love of dogs and cats. She is very dependable, always taking extra time with each of the pups in her care. She handles all dogs with care and compassion, walking them, playing with them, or sitting with the seniors to give some extra loving. When I need someone to drop in on my dogs during the day, Matti is the one I call.
Matti is great with my 90 lb Pit/Lab mix! He doesn’t like most people outside of the family but he has always had a soft spot for her. I’ve also seen her volunteer at the local animal friends numerous times. She is great with dogs, and also is a loving cat owner as well.
Matti is very passionate and loving to both of my dogs. She gives each dog plenty of attention. Matti is very considerate of the owners property, requests, and the animals needs. I highly recommend having Matti walk or check in on your dogs.
