Pet care experience
Hi there. My name is Matthew and I am the club manager at Snap Fitness. I am able to set my own schedule so I should be able to meet your dog sitting/walking needs. I have reliable transportation to and from your residence. I enjoy going on hikes and running but I also enjoy kicking back with a book too. I was a weekly dog walker for a couple of months out in the Philomath area. I have worked with many dogs ranging from Pomeranian to Huskies with lots of other dogs in between. I have watched dogs in both Corvallis and Albany. I am committed to providing the best care possible to your dog while you are away. Travel can be stressful; ease your mind and hire me today!

We left our pets with for a weekend, and he did awesome! Made sure our pup had a good run, and lots of belly rubs. Easy to work with and very reliable. Will definitely have him do it again!
Unfortunately we had a terrible experience with Mathew. We gave Mathew specific istructions for Charlie, he had 4 pages and we met him 2 weeks before and spent an hour with Mathew meeting Charlie, going for a short walk and going over what his needs were and what we expected from an in house dog sitter. We told Mathew we would be back at 5pm the following day. That next morning we received a picture of Charlie at 7:30am and then nothing after that. At about 8:30am I texted Mathew to let him know we had to come home early because my husband had to go to work. We heard nothing for about 30 minutes. Then Mathew texted back and said there was some dirt in front to the door and that since we would get there before he did he would clean it when he got back.. Got back? From where. So then I realized he was not even at the house. I texted him to find out how Charlie was, had he had a walk that morning, had he gone to bathroom etc. He finally texted me back and said he had only gone poop 1 time in 24 hours and that the morning he took him on a small walk but he did not poop!!!!! I then found out that he was out of town helping a friend move that morning and his car broke down and did not know when he would be back.. So we got in the care and drove quickly back home about a 75 minute drive. We arrived at the house Charlie was asleep on the couch but his ears were down, tail between his legs and he had to go out ASAP to go the bathroom. That is the worst thing you can do to a dog is to make them hold it like that and if he had an accident that could traumatize him and make it worse for him to ever be left alone. There was muddy paw prints all over the house. The was muddy paw prints all over the house, mud mixed with red clay. The backyard was a mess, holes dug, our waterfall the rocks had been caved in, the rubber lining had been ripped. One of my husbands shoes was found with part of the ripped out. It was clear that Mathew just let Charlie out in the backyard unsupervised and he went nuts. We told him repeatedly that Charlie as a puppy still likes to find mischief in the backyard and to NOT leave him alone. He is a 14 month black lab male that still needs supervision. There was mud in the kitchen, on the cabinets and on the stairs from Charlie's feet. We found a half carved pumpkin left on the table on top of some coffee table books, very nice books, no newspaper to cover anything. The carving tools left out that Charlie could have jumped up and found at any time. My husband finally was able to get Mathew to pick up the phone and talk to him. Then we found out he had taken him for a 60 minute run on concrete. He had just been neutered 3 weeks ago and Mathew knew to only walk him, we do not Run Charlie at this time, only walks and hikes and again that was in the paperwork we had left Mathew. We are clearly not happy with or experience and will be seeking a refund from Rover.com
Matt has been a sitter for my dogs many times. He is exceptionally responsible and has been willing to help out even with short notice. Last winter I ended up stranded out of town because of the winter storm and he drove to my house in the bad weather and fed my dogs, as well as took them on a short walk! Most recently he watched my dogs for me on June 19-23 2017. One of my dogs had an infection and needed antibiotics, and Matt was happy to accommodate the medication dosing. I trust him completely with the care of my beloved dogs, in addition he keeps the house neat and clean, and watered my plants! I highly recommend him.
Matt took good care of my dog - watching him, sending update pictures of the dog when I was away and checking in. I appreciated his care and have used him many times.
