Matthew has walked and cared for my dog many times and she's obsessed! She clearly felt comfortable with him after their first meeting and seems to always be tuckered out and happy after they've spent time together. On the human side, Matthew is easy to talk to, prompt at communicating, and goes out of his way to send updates with pics so I can see my pup in all her glory even if I can't be there. It seems like he really enjoys and takes pride in caring for others' dogs and it's been such a joy to have him walk and watch mine. Definitely recommend if you're going out of town or even just can't get home in the middle of the day to take your dog out!

Matthew's temperament and life experiences make him a really terrific person to care for animals, especially dogs. He is a calm, steadfast, reliable person. His composure allows him to pay attention to each dog, to see their individuality and particular needs. It also enables him to respond with presence and thoughtfulness during hectic or stressful circumstances. Matthew has always had a special quiet way of being with dogs. Many times I have noticed when in a gathering of people the dog or dogs in the room will be found next to him with him calmly quietly petting them, scratching their ears... He will be engaged with the people listening and talking but also on some level communicating and present with the dogs. A dog in Matthew's care will most certainly spend its time in companionable connection and happy playfulness.
