I have been training my three dogs for 4 years. Before and during I was training w/ PTSD dogs; calm, attentive dogs are what I strive to bring out of each dog I handle. I believe the more exercise a dog receives in a well balanced pack-like manner the more beneficial their lives become. Matthew took great care of our challenging and anxious puppy, as well as our cat for three nights. Even though our dog was fearful, showed aggression toward him, and was very slow to warm up, Matthew stuck with it and went above and beyond to help our dog to feel comfortable both with him and with his dogs. Based on his texts and pictures (he maintained great contact with us), our dog eventually warmed up and became quite comfortable with Matthew and his dogs. We are looking forward to calling on Matthew again and again for future pet sitting and visits!
I'm sure Matthew had his hands full with our 7 dog pack. But he did a great job, we missed the dogs during our vacation but never worried that they weren't being taken care of. We will use him again without hesitation
Matthew spends more time with his dogs than most people spend with their kids. He walks or runs miles with them most days & works deligently with them on & off leash. Anyone entrusting Matthew with their pet will be returning to a well loved & well cared for animal.
Matthew is a truly caring and kind individual who is passionate about dogs. His three rescue dogs, Calypso, Finn and Little Bea,r have come so far in discipline and good behavior since he started training them. With his calm, assertive training style coupled with vigorous activity, his dogs thrive. I have three rescue dogs of my own, and I was particularly impressed when we introduced all 6 of them at how well they listened to Matthew and he handled any misbehavior calmly. Any dogs placed under his care would receive the same fair, competent and loving attitude he shows all four-legged friends.
