I lived in northern New Mexico with five happy dogs for 18 years. Spending time with them was an absolute joy for me. We would go on long hikes in the mountains and they'd run, play, and jump into mountain streams with an immeasurable level of happiness. Simply put dogs get it... as in they are happy with the simple things like going for a walk with you. One of my dogs was a Husky mix 'Frank' who lived 'unbelievably' to 19 years old. I took him for walks practically everyday. As soon as I picked up his leash his eyes would light up he'd bark a happy bark then he'd go wait patiently by the front door for me to put the leash on and we'd head out the door. Even as Frank got older and the walks significantly shorter his love of going for walks never waned. I loved Frank so much and I miss him. It would be my pleasure to take your dog for a walk and make her/him happy too.
