Pet care experience
I grew up on a 250 acre ranch breeding Collies, Labs, and helping run my family owned dog kennel. I have owned dogs all my life and currently live with an Australian Shepherd, Blue Heeler, and Golden Retriever.

Matthew was fantastic. Throughout the whole experience and especially during his stay, we were kept up to date on what was going on with the dogs and the like. Definitely would recommend and will be using him again in the future.
As a first time user to Rover, Matthew exceeded our expectations as a house sitter. Matthew was so great with our dog Heidi, he took on walks 3 times a day and made sure she got her medication every morning. We came home to a happy little girl and clean home. We couldn’t be happier with our first Rover experience. Thank you so much for everything you did Matthew!
Matthew was wonderful. My dog & cat loved him from the first moment. He was extremely responsible, kept me very well informed & sent pictures at least three times a day. I would have him back in a heartbeat.

I currently am only able to watch client pets in their own home. I will be able to provide the necessary care required for each individual pet. Some pets require medication at certain times others need to go outside a certain amount of time each day. I will discuss with each owner and make sure I go above and beyond for the owner and their pets.

There's a few things I would like to know in advance if I will be watching your dog. 1. Does your dog need to be walked or fed at particular times? 2. Is there medication your pups may need in the morning or evening? 3. Do you know of a dog park near by we can walk to? 4. Where are your pets favorite toys. 5. Where can I find their food? 6. Do you have doggy bags anywhere? 7. Is there anything that makes your dog aggressive?
A typical day
I will spend one-on-one time with each dog, giving them belly rubs, scratches behind the ears, or simply sit quietly with them to build the trust and rapport. We will use back yards or local parks for playing with balls, Frisbee, or just overall off leash running time. Life's not all about fun, so during evening visits I will be sure to calm each dog down with a nice long walk before ensure they are prepared for bed. If any pups need meds we will get these taken care of and updates will be sent to the owners.

Currently I am working from home and looking for ways to add additional income to my life. My wife and I would like to start a family soon and this money is going towards that.
