Hello I am Matthew McDonald. I grew up (from the day I was born till now) with dogs, cats, and horses. I raised puppies from birth to adulthood and in doing so, learned how to properly care for and command all ages. Sadly I had an elderly dog pass from old age a few years ago, so I understand an older dog's needs are different from a puppy's. All ages are welcomed, loved and respected equally. Dog-Walking/Drop-Ins: I am happy to walk for longer durations if you have a more active dog, or stay and play with your animals if they can't walk too far but still want lovin! (Even cats. Yes, I am a dog and cat lover.) Given the lack of sidewalks out in harding, I am mostly willing and certainly able transport dogs to more walk/friendly environments. I am constantly taking Blue and my new pup Finn to Jockey Hollow, Morris Lewis Dog Park and many other places. Side note for puppies: I am an avid believer and follower of the Positive Reinforcement Style of training and would rather not be asked to use harming equipment such as shock collars, but I understand some dogs require a little more oomph to retain attention.
