My parents raised me to love, care for, appreciate and respect dogs. I have had dogs in my life since I was born. Whether they were long eared beagles who liked to race off in search of woodchucks to annoy, a big-hearted pittie looking to run and play in the woods, a German Shepherd/chow chow mix demanding my full attention because they wanted to show me they had brought in the mail (mine did this quite often) or my easily scared, water loving lab, I always knew each dog I have had a relationship with was perfect in their own individual way. For this reason I am also very comfortable taking care of both puppies and old dogs. I have lived with and taken care of dogs as small as 15 lbs and as large as 160 lbs. I am comfortable with all breeds but also know that each dog has their own personality and deserves special attention based on their specific needs. My best friend's family fosters Pitbulls and English Pointers and I have taken care of their fosters (who are often survivors of animal abuse) while they were away many times. For this reason I am used to interacting with dogs that are anxious or highly active. I am a highly active person myself and enjoy running and biking every day and would be more than happy to go running with your dog. If you need me to come by early in the morning or late in the evening I am happy to do do. I am very flexible about time and can easily accommodate last minute cancellations and scheduling.
