I've taken care of animals ever since I was six. I've raised 4 dogs, 6 cats, 2 frogs, and many fish of different varieties. For friends and family I've petsat dogs, cats, ferrets, guinea pigs, hamsters, snakes, and fish. In college I studied animal psychology, and it really helped me to make quick friends with all kinds of domestic animals and how to understand their needs and wants.

It was such a help to have Matthew walk our pitbull mix for four days. I was glad to find someone with plenty of big-dog experience! Matthew is calm and reliable, and our dog was in good hands. I recommend Matthew and will definitely call him again when we need a hand.
Matt was great! He sent me updates and pictures throughout the entire stay, dealt with my dog getting sick and cleaning up after him, and was super responsive. It was great not having to worry about the dogs while I was away. Will for sure use Matt again and I highly recommend booking with him!
Really appreciated the on schedule visits, photos and updates during our week long trip to visit family. Matthew took such good care of our 4 cats and highly recommend!
We just got our new puppy Cooper, and we really needed someone to watch him for the day. Matt was the best pet sitter we ever had! He was so attentive to Cooper’s needs, cleaned up any messes, and sent me all the pictures of my cute boy that I could ask for! If you ever need a pet sitter, get Matt!

I can meet any standard of care you have for you animals. I routinely walk my own big shepherd dogs around the neighborhood on leashes, so dog walking isn't a problem for me. I have knowledge in first aid for animals, and what items may be dangerous for them to eat. I enjoy anytime I spend with animals, big or small, and I always put their well being first.

A typical day
I enjoy long walks, playing tug of war, hiding treats around the house for dogs to find, wiping out the laser pointer for cats (and dogs) to chase. For the mellow pets I enjoy sitting on the couch and cuddling.

I recently moved back to Colorado after the end of my service in the USCG, and am currently self employed as a writer. I am available nearly every day for pet care, and most times of the day.
