Pet care experience
Dogs, like people, require plenty of exercise and lots of love. Training, like employment, provides a sense of meaning in a dog's life. I've owned, cared for, and trained dogs since I was 5 years old, when my brother and I rescued a Russian Bear Dog. I've also owned Labrador Retrievers and German Shepherds. Over the last two years, I've cared for a Chihuahua recovering from trauma and abuse. I also have a Pit Bull that I rescued as a puppy -- contrary to media depiction, they can be the most gentle dogs. I am an avid jogger and would jump at the chance to take any high energy dog for a run. Let me know if you have any questions! I'm very excited to meet your dog.

I hired Matthew several years ago for the first time and I've since recommended him to multiple friends. Matthew is extremely punctual, communicative, and attentive to my dog Emile. Emile is an older pooch with a fairly complex medication routine, and Matthew follows it to the letter. Emile usually distrusts anyone who's not me, but Matthew is an exception -- a natural "dog whisperer," or something like that! He also has great taste in books, and, judging by the pictures he sends, Emile seems to like reading over his shoulder while lying down in the park -- oh wait, dogs can't read!
