Lifelong dog owner and dog lover
Pet care experience
I am a life-long dog person, having owned multiple dogs over my life and cared for others' dogs as well. I have dog-waking and dog-sitting experience and I come with excellent references. I can do shorter walks, longer walks, hikes, and/or visits to parks. I have experience with both large and small breeds, from Rottweiler to Chihuahua. I have worked with puppies and young dogs as well as adult and senior dogs. I also have a lot of experience with dogs with disabilities, health problems, and special needs (including blindness and diabetes). I am experienced with administering medications, both injections and pills. Feel free to ask if I have experience with your particular dog’s special needs- I may be able to help, and I am more than likely willing!
Reviews
Matthew helped me out on short notice and took excellent care of the dogs. Very responsible & pleasant!
Matthew was great! He showed up for each drop in on time and followed all instructions giving both my dog and cat the attention, love and care they needed. Thankful to have found him.
Matthew was great with my pup. He arrived on time and was a great communicator. Reagan had a good time on his walk.
Matthew was great! Scheduled for two drop-ins and we got pictures and updates within the hour of the scheduled times!! Our pack was not stressed and enjoyed Matthew's visits!! We will definitely re-book!!

I will spend a lot of time with your pets and I normally only leave to run to the store, or if I have an appointment. I will walk your dogs regularly and feed them on time. Treats are given at your direction, and you can trust me to administer medications. I will leave your home clean. I want you to come home to a clean house and happy pets. I’m comfortable with cameras in your home. I would always act as if I’m on camera when I’m in someone else’s home anyway -but please no cameras in the bedroom/bathroom for privacy reasons. I’m sure you understand :)
Information Matthew G. would like to know about your pet
I like to know about what the house rules are for the dog (allowed on furniture, are they allowed treats? Where do they sleep?) Feeding times. Any behavior concerns or issues, such as a need to avoid other dogs on a walk, are they escape artists in the yard? These are the kind of questions I usually ask beforehand.
A typical day
When staying in your home I’ll walk your dogs twice a day, and feed them either once or twice a day at your direction. We can discuss what time is best for feeding. I am a morning person (it’s a curse!). I wake up early and prefer to walk your dogs in the morning, and then again the afternoon. During the day, I’ll chill with your pets and catch up on some reading and TV.

Availability
I am a dependable, retired professional, whom you can count on to fulfil expectations. I am not currently working but I do some online study. All this to say: I make my own schedule so I am very flexible. When we meet, we can talk about how long your pups and kitties are ok on their own, in case I need to run out. But when I’m working for you, your pets and your home are my first priority.
