Patient, willing, and attentive.

Pet care experience

Since childhood I’ve had multiple dogs in my life at al times. In the last three years I’ve taken time to dedicate myself to learning on how to understand dogs not only emotionally, but psychologically. I can read body language in an instant and I don’t allow dogs to “load” by redirecting them with sound or food. I have had everything from chihuahuas to a Great Dane and can handle any size dog. I have equipment necessary to deal with dogs that are less than co-operative while walking, and lots of area to run around indoors. I can work with any age, and I can give special care and attention to older dogs. I’m more than happy to work with puppies as well! I can teach them an array of different commands and tricks.

Our little husky loved Matt. All smiles when we picked her up. Matt provided awesome communication and updates! Will definitely be utilizing his services again.

Matt is trustworthy and honest. He has always loved animals especially dogs and cats. He has also always been very good with them. They love him in return!

Matthew is a natural with all animals, and he always makes my dog feel loved, safe, and happy! Matthew stays actively engaged with the animals he cares for and has great attention to detail when it comes to making sure the pets are happy, healthy and taken care of. He is very knowledgeable about how to best care for many animals, and is a very kind and responsible person. He is a wonderful sitter!

Safety, trust & environment

I have a fenced yard, and a nice neighborhood with lots of areas for the dogs to walk. I will walk the dog every two hours for at least 1/2 mile, unless they clearly signal otherwise that they wish to return inside. I have two dogs who are both friendly, but very energetic and enthusiastic! I can crate your dog if you’d like, per your request. My Pitbull, Jade is kept separate and is isn’t allowed to interact with other animals; this is due to me still being in the process of rehabbing her. There’s plenty of rooms and plenty of dog beds to give your pup a place to relax if they choose to do so. I also have 13 Finches in 6 foot cages; they have worked extremely well with desensitizing both my dogs entirely to birds. One of which was bred to hunt birds so that’s certainly worth noting. I’m able to recognize body language in dogs, and that will allow me to prevent any incidents ever happening with other pets in the neighborhoods; ones that we might encounter on a walk. I’ve never had any incidents with my dogs, and I intend to keep things that way through supervision and attentiveness. I have an array of toys for all sizes of dogs, and lots of toys that will allow me to interact with and help exercise your dog. I won’t give any treats to your dog unless permission is given, and once dietary restrictions are explained. I will not be responsible for feeding your dog, but if a scenario arises where I must, I will after contacting you.

Information Matthew C. would like to know about your pet

I have a few questions that I always like to know ahead of time, Is your dog house trained? Is your dog human or dog aggressive? Any animals it strongly disdains such as a squirrel, cat, or raccoon, etc. (I mentioned raccoons because I see them scurrying around a few times a year in my neighborhood.) Any bladder or GI issues? Any special needs?

A typical day

Everyday will be filled with playing, exploring the new neighborhood for new smells, and getting lots of attention from me and my housemates. My neighborhood is gated and has plenty of areas for your dog to get some exercise.
