I'm the friend who comes over that the dogs love (even if they don't like people). I grew up with Golden Retrievers (puppies & a rescue). I taught our rescue who was terrified of everything, especially the water, how to swim. I dog sit my friend's schnauzer mix on occasion. I would adopt a rescue, but my fiancé and I are doing extensive traveling next year which would prohibit adopting at the moment.
