I am a life long pet caretaker. My childhood home was filled with both cats and dogs. Since then, cats and/or dogs have been in every new dorm, apartment, or house I have lived in. I regularly care for my friend's pets, including Ella Dog the labradoodle in my profile picture - ball is life for her. I also frequently watch and feed my neighbor's cats. At this point I cannot imagine living anywhere without a pet in my life. They feel more human than most people these days!

Matthew is incredible! Perfect for big dog owners! We have a dog with a lot of quirks and he had no problem working with them. I was so comfortable knowing he was taking care of my babies!
Matthew was fantastic with our often skittish golden doodle. We just got back and our pup was relaxed and excited, not anxious or anything, and Matthew was a fantastic house guest as well. Would give more stars if we could. Will definitely rebook!
Matthew was fantastic with Luna! She has separation anxiety and this is the first time that she hasn’t been overstimulated and anxious when we returned home. He kept our apartment in fantastic shape and was very thoughtful. He had a wonderful calm temperament with Luna that helped put both her and us as ease. 10/10 will book again.
Matthew is a truly wonderful walker and pet sitter! My husky Shepard mix, Mav, absolutely adores him, he's always so excited to get to see Matthew. He has a very calm and grounding presence, which is a great counterpoint for my medium-high energy pup. Matthew is an excellent communicator with humans and animals alike, pays great attention to dog body language, is skilled at attuning to dogs' needs, and is overall an excellent caregiver. Leaving your pup with someone new for the first time can be a nerve wracking experience, but Matt made everything as easy and smooth as one could possibly hope for! He sent updates and photos, and didn't hesitate to ask when he had a clarifying question regarding the meal instructions I'd left for Mav. If you're looking for someone kind, caring and knowledgeable to walk or sit for your pet, I would highly recommend Matthew!
This was the first time I'd left my pup alone since I adopted him two years ago, so I was concerned. Matthew was responsive, compassionate and knowledgeable. He came by to meet my pup and kept me up to date during my absence. He was willing to work with me when my returning flight was delayed, even offering to come by and check on my Marlowe or stay over one more night if needed. He gave me peace of mind, even if the dog was a bit depressed during my trip. I would use Matthew again.

My current work schedule is flexible for feeding, walking, or just spending time with your pets. Whether it is an active pup or your most aloof cat, I am happy to make time and keep them company.
