Pet care experience
I have been a dog owner my entire life and have been heavily involved in caring for, walking and training my Labrador Jesse since I was 16 (7 years). I have been trusted to feed and check in on neighbours and friends cats since I was 15, and have also stayed at friends houses to care for and walk their dogs for weeks at a time. I’ve lived in houses with people who’ve cared for dogs before so have met many different breeds and personality types of dogs. I also have experience taking dogs to the vet and caring for poorly dogs (administering oral medications, applying creams).

My two dogs (an 11 year old Spaniel and a 4 year old mixed breed hound) love Matty. He is a brilliant dog walker and minder who I would 100% recommend. Matty is completely reliable and lovely with dogs. He has doggie sat for me many times over the years and I always return to happy, well cared for and exercised dogs. Matty is flexible and responsive to the dog's needs - he will take dogs for a long walk or run or a modest potter around the park - whatever suits the owner and the dog's needs. He's got a lovely manner with animals and humans alike and is entirely trustworthy.
Matthew has lived with dogs as part of our family for most of his life. He is therefore very knowledgeable and comfortable around dog's, and with their behaviour and needs. Taking the dog for a walk, feeding, vets visits and two weeks sole care while dog and house sitting are tasks I would have total confidence in him to undertake.as he has done so with us over the years, including our current dog who is very demanding.

I can keep a dog entertained in my flat by playing and giving them constant attention. I can walk them around angel meadow park or new Islington marina or just around the block for quick toilet breaks.

Availability
I am a remote university student so most daytimes I am studying on and off from home. I work part time evenings usually 2-3 nights per week. This means i’m free to care for pets in the day and some evenings. I have always been a dog owner so having some time each week with a dog would fill the dog sized gap that there currently is in my life!
