Pet care experience
I am a fully qualified Vet and my wife (Stine) is a qualified Animal Care Assistant so both of our lives pretty much revolve around taking the best care possible of people's pets! I qualified in 2014 and now work within the research field and my wife qualified in 2015. Between us we love nothing more than walking, playing, training, cuddling up and caring for dogs.
Reviews
Indy was welcomed and very well looked after. He had a great time. Thanks for caring for him, at such short notice too. Would certainly recommend.
Matt was great, friendly and put our minds at ease. Great communication, sending pictures and updates throughout the stay. Perfect to find someone local who we can re use again!
Whenever Matt/Stine have looked after my pet I have always felt confident and assured that not only would they provide care for her as if she was their own, but that they would keep me aware of any updates I would want or need to know. They have always sent photos to me (a needy pet parent) and made me feel secure that my dog was being both loved and her welfare and health made a top priority. Training instructions and daily routines are important to us and these have been followed to make sure that my dog had the easiest time possible adjusting to her usual people not being around. Overall I couldn't reccomend Matt and Stine enough for their services and their attitude towards looking after the furry family members of others. I would call on them again in a heartbeat.
Matthew has professional experience caring for dogs but he is also very wise and knowledgeable about dog behaviours and needs. He has look after and trained a number of rescue dogs, some with very specific disabilities. He is patient and gentle as well as being reliable and diligent. I know he would look after any dog in his care in the way he cares for his own dog.

Information Matthew B. would like to know about your pet
If you enquire about a booking please be aware we will ask for the following information: - Any special requirements or medical conditions? - Details of the Vets they are registered with, along with the insurance status? - Their temperament with other dogs? - Any special dietary requirements or sleeping arrangements? (you are welcome to bring their own bed for their stay if you prefer!) - Their spay/neuter status? - If they are house trained or have any incontinence issues? - Is there any period of time you are happy they could be left unattended for and has your dog ever exhibited any destructive behaviours when left unattended? We ask that any dogs booking are fully up to date with their vaccinations, flea and worming treatments. For any first time bookings we encourage a short meet and greet session initially so you can see where your dog will be staying. This also a great opportunity to ask us any questions you may have and also ensure that your dog is a good fit with us and our own dog, Shepherd, as we don't want any dog to feel uncomfortable in our home :)
A typical day
We aim to keep dogs mentally and physically stimulated during our stay with us as well as providing plenty of opportunities for quieter naps and rest. We keep a good selection of appropriate chews, balls and toys in the house at all times with a big rear garden to play in. There are also plenty of dog friendly parks and scenic walks nearby to explore. Mostly we endeavour to give your dog as much of our company and attention as it deserves!

Availability
I work mostly Monday-Friday but with the occasional weekend shift and then days off in the week to compensate. My wife works part time with variable days on so between the two of us we regularly have days/time to pick up extra help looking after other peoples pets
