Here for the walks

Pet care experience

I grew up with a dog and love being around pets. I'm often the first call for neighbors and relatives when they need pet care.

Matthew was great with Otto. Easy, dependable communication and plenty of pics of Otto and his buds on walks. Would absolutely recommend Matthew!

Matt was wonderful with Sammie! She came back happy and tired! Our flight was delayed and Matt was great in taking Sammie an extra day. He took in Sammie's brother for the week as well and updated us with photos of their walks each day. We will continue to use Matt for our next boarding and highly recommend him! Thank you Matt!!

Matthew was amazing with my dog Milo! Milo isn't used to being away from us so he was a lot but Matthew took great care of Milo despite all the difficulties! Would definitely use Matthew again in the future and highly recommend him as a sitter :)

Information Matthew B. would like to know about your pet

The most important thing is how your dog gets along with other dogs because sometimes I host more than one dog at a time. Beyond that, just their likes and dislikes to make their stay as comfortable as possible.

A typical day

I'm on Rover so I have dogs to join me for my walks! During the week, we might walk to Meridian Hill Park, the McMillan Reservoir, or Logan Circle which are all about 1 mile roundtrip. On the weekends, I like to walk to the National Mall, which is about 4 miles roundtrip. Generally, if your dog seems comfortable with other people, I try to include them in social activities like meeting friends for coffee or a barbeque.

I work from home every day, so it's easy to give attention to a pet during the day. Typically, I walk your dog before work, at lunch time, and after work. On weekends, we may go for longer walks if your dog's up for it.
