Pet care experience
Hi we are Matt and Ellie! We love animals so much that we decided to pursue careers in that area. Matt has a bachelors degree in animal behavior and Ellie is soon to finish her final year at Vet School. Cumulatively, Ellie and I share 10 years in the kennel and cattery environment. We have handled and cared for breeds from Basset hounds and chihuahuas to Vizlas and Shepherds. We have 2 friendly dogs that we love to take on walks, we are near a fenced in dog park, fields and even a canal so swimming is always an option (much to Harvey's delight). We don't mind a muddy walk because we can always clean them off. We have both taken our dogs through the Gold citizen award (Kennel club) We have 2 large cats (Maine Coons) that are very tolerable of dogs and may even be your pet's new friend. They enjoy using their cat shelves so there is no worry of them getting in the way.

I cannot recommend Matthew highly enough for his exceptional care of my dog while I was away for the night. From the moment I entrusted him with my furry friend, I felt completely at ease knowing he was in capable hands. Matthew went above and beyond in ensuring my dog was comfortable, happy, and well taken care of throughout the entire time and kept me updated throughout his stay with videos and photos of his adventure. His dedication, attentiveness, and genuine love for animals truly shone through. I am incredibly grateful for his outstanding service and would not hesitate to rely on him again in the future.

Great service, Reggie had a lovely time staying over, lots of photos and videos sent showing him out on walks and snuggled up! Very reassuring and definitely will be back.
Matthew has worked with myself in a busy kennels and cattery for the past 8 years now. He has a very kind and gentle nature and is a genuine animal lover. He's extremely hardworking and reliable, I could always rest assured that all the animals were in safe hands with him. He is also very knowledgeable when it comes to dogs which has been proven with his qualifications. He is a true gentleman, very trustworthy and an excellent choice for looking after your beloved pet/s.

A typical day
We like to start the day by using our dogs' breakfast to play some games and training for physical and mental enrichment. We go for 3 walks a day with our dogs (and sometimes the cats) and where we go is weather dependent. We might go for a swim, a sniffy amble through fields, a run along the canal, do some training or play games around the house when it's really bad outside. If we're feeling very adventurous, we might go for a day trip to the peaks or the beach. For your pets, we can do any of the above and tailor it to whatever your pets preferences are or what you need from us. Senior pet? Mental games, cuddles and easy outings. Anxious pet? We'll take them somewhere quiet and let them feel safe. Adventurous pet? We'll go for a gander and explore together.

Availability
Between university and working we offer boarding on the weekends as we are around so make sure your furbaby is happy. With some flexibility week to week There's no better start to the day than a nice walk with games and mental enrichment. Throughout the day, your pet's have access to our house as if they were our own and will be treated like our family. We do our best to give our pets weekly health checks (such as their weight, nails, grooming etc.) and, if you'd like, we can do the same for your pets too.
